Sterile, 100% cotton gauze sponges with X-ray detectable strands that help surgical and procedure teams account for every sponge.
Each sponge has two barium sulfate strands layered in a figure-8 pattern so it shows up on X-ray. The sponges come 10 to a rigid tray whose lid peels back, and they lift out cleanly, ready for use during procedures.
