A sterile, waterproof island dressing with a built-in adhesive border, made for caregivers and clinics covering partial or full-thickness wounds.
Four layers do the work in a single dressing: a contact layer that won't stick to new tissue, a cushioning pad to soak up fluid, an adhesive nonwoven border to hold it, and a waterproof polyurethane film on top. The outer film is designed to help keep germs out while keeping a good environment for healing. It can stay on for up to 7 days.
