This zinc oxide Unna boot bandage gives clinicians and home care nurses a soothing compression wrap for managing venous leg ulcers and swelling.
The knitted gauze is evenly soaked with zinc oxide paste, and in some versions calamine, to help soothe irritated skin and support minor wound care while keeping the area moist. Wrapped around the lower leg, its elastic stretch shapes itself to the leg and offers mild compression with semi-rigid support. An inner plastic core makes the roll easier to apply.
